Expert Rhinoplasty Surgical Team

OUR SPECIALIST TEAM

Care and concern matter immensely when you commit yourself to a procedure as life changing as nasal surgery. And while it is true that surgical expertise and cutting-edge technology are crucial for a good result, what you will remember most afterwards is the warmth and empathy shown by the medical staff. That’s why we’re so proud of our Nose Clinic support staff.

One of the faces you’ll last see before dozing off for your transforming nasal surgery is Dr Werner Reinach MD, the Nose Clinic’s consultant specialist anesthetist. Dr Reinach will keep you safe, pain free and comfortable during surgery. He is also responsible for monitoring surgical equipment, our meticulous medical regime, and the immediate post-operative medication.

A graduate of South Africa’s University of Pretoria, Dr Reinach obtained his Masters Degree Cum Laude, and entered private practice as a specialist anesthesiologist with a particular interest in open-heart anesthesia.

He later developed a fascination for conscious sedation, and teamed up with the Nose Clinic’s specialist surgeon, Dr Pieter Swanepoel. Together, they pioneered Conscious Sedation for nasal surgery, a safe and pain free technique now accepted and used internationally. Thanks to this development, we don’t use risky general anesthesia for rhinoplasty. Our patients experience less swelling and bruising, and recover more rapidly.

Academic qualifications: MB ChB (UP), ECFMG (USA), MMed (Anesthesiology) Cum Laude, FCA (SA).
