Before and After Nose Surgery Photos 29

Reduction Rhinoplasty

Here is an example of plastic nose surgery that exemplifies the beauty of simplicity inherent in certain rhinoplasty techniques. This patient’s long nose deviated slightly left on the front view and displayed a drooping tip in profile. We shortened the length of the nose and rotated it cephalically (upward) to raise the nasofrontal angle of the nose (the angle of the nose in relation to the head). Raising the angle served two purposes. It lifted the drooping tip, and softened the hump well enough to minimise the amount of bone and tissue we needed to trim off the dorsum to flatten the hump.
